I think Jung had a superficial view of Theosophy, which I did too until I
actually started reading Blavatsky and the Mahatma Letters.  Check out the
Probation section in the Mahatma Letters and some of Blavatsky's articles
like "Chelas and Lay Chelas".  He probably judged it from some of the
shennanigans going on out of Adyar at the time.
