No matter how sincerely someone intends to judge individuals on their own
merits, there is always a time lag in gathering this information.  In the
meantime, tentative probability estimates of the behavior of
individuals based on group behavior are better than nothing.

It would take omniscience to not have any prejudices.  It is just as
important to realize they are inevitable as it is to acquire the
information necessary to overcome them.
y version of open-mindedness, I am going to try to
intimidate anyone who says anything with which I disagree into not saying
it.  And, by the way, it sure is terrible how the TS suppresses diversity
of opinion.  Some people sure are hypocrites."
