It seems, sadly, that some people are so attached to one out-of-date
word that they are willing to accept putting people off.  It is
difficult not to come to the conclusion that they actually *do* want a
"brotherhood" - a male-oriented setup - and not a *genuinely* inclusive
human nucleus.
