Almost anything can and does bring out the worst in people. Commerce,
Industry, Shopkeeping, joining Theosophical Societies, attending
conventions [:-)]. All these things can also bring out the best in
people. Many people, members of religions or not, have given their
lives for their friends, and even for complete strangers.
