	No theosophist doubts that mind *can* manipulate matter.  That
was not the issue, Dan.   Rich was saying that HPB's teachings confirm
quantum theory--the idea that the observer creates his own reality, and
that therefore matter is *always* manipulated by mind.  Christian
Science also demonstrates mind over matter, but HPB didn't care
much for Christian Science.
