Art Paul,

You want to know how individual Theosophists view the belief
system. I can tell you about myself. In the beginning, I picked
out ideas from Theosophical texts which appealed to me, either
because they made sense, appealed to my emotions, or both. I
still try to adopt that which appeals to me, but now over the
years, another reason has been added, & that is that it fits in
with what I already believe. This doesn't include the
practicality of the theosophical belief system as I've adopted
it. I have found, over the years, that Theosophical wisdom is
a tremendous help over the rough spots in life. Just at this
moment, I'm struggling, but I'm sure I'll find my footing again
somewhere in my Theosophical beliefs. I always have.
