Yes, Jerry H-E seemed to focus on "official" organizations. As I
understand it, Santa Barbara is, as someone said a couple days
ago, and is not ULT -- the same but different. Sure, it is a
chartered lodge or branch of ULT, but it IS different, special.
Why, because one (or two) of its most prominent members hold a
very special place in a "lineage". ULT history is a lot more
complex  than most realize. That individual at SB has been
afflicted with a good deal of misfortune of late, and SB ULT has
been undergoing some difficulties. But the point is, SB ULT is
unique.

I'm frankly amazed by Eldon's statement that Adyar stresses
"intellectual study." That seems to characterize Pasadena and
ULT far more than Adyar, which seems to stress ritual, bhakti,
and psychism.
